Act One Wins NH Conservation License Plate Contract

Concord Marketing Firm Tapped to Promote “Moose Plates” to NH Drivers.

Concord, NH – Act One Creative, LLC, has been named by the State of New Hampshire to promote the sale of "Moose Plates" to New Hampshire drivers in support of the State of NH Conservation License Plate Program.

The special conservation plates are called “moose plates” for the picture of the Moose that symbolizes New Hampshire wildlife on the plate.  Act One Creative was chosen from nine NH marketing firms who responded to the Conservation Plate Marketing Committee RFP for the project with a proposal in August of 2011.

“The Conservation License Plate Program is a win-win for everybody,” said Amy Bassett, Parks & Recreation’s Public Information and Outreach Specialist. “New Hampshire drivers get a special plate that shows they support our state’s natural resources, and the revenue generated through the sale of the plates supplements existing conservation and preservation programs.”

According to Bassett, money derived from sales of the plates directly supports the protection of critical resources in New Hampshire, from scenic lands to historic sites to wildlife. Revenues are distributed through various state agencies charged with preservation and conservation of state and municipal historical properties and natural resources throughout the state.

For its part, Act One Creative will develop a multi-tiered marketing program for the purpose of creating a buzz and educating the public about the benefits of buying Moose Plates. This, in turn, will result in more sales.

“If people spend just a few extra dollars to buy a Moose Plate, they help preserve a lot of what makes New Hampshire special,” said Nancy Brownstein, president and creative director at Act One Creative. “The key is to create ongoing ‘top of mind awareness’ for the Moose Plate program with a compelling marketing campaign that utilizes traditional, social and new media.”

Founded in 2001 by Nancy Brownstein, Act One Creative is a full service marketing communications firm specializing in integrated marketing and design strategies for websites, social media, brand identity, advertising, digital media, print materials, public relations campaigns, trade show displays and more.

The firm occupies offices on the top floor of a renovated mill building at 3 Low Ave. in downtown Concord. For more information about Act One Creative or the Moose Plate program, call 603-226-3311, or email info@actonecreative.com.
